This cool and creamy coconut yoghurt is a great plant based alternative to diary yoghurt. Gluten free and low carb this recipe is so easy to make and uses only 2 ingredients
INGREDIENTS
1 can coconut milk 2 capsule of probiotic powder
METHOD
1. Add all the coconut milk into a clean sterilised glass container 2. Next add the probiotic capsules and stir with a wooden spoon (NOT METAL) 3. Place the jar in a warm place and let it ferment for about 24- 48 hours (taste and see if it needs more time fermenting) 4. Stir the yogurt and put in the fridge to thicken. It lasts roughly 5 days.
5. Top with toppings of your choice :)
HOW TO STERALISE YOUR CONTAINER?
Make sure its washed properly, then simply pour boiling water inside and leave to sit for a few minutes. empty the boiling water out and leave to cool.
WHY CANT I USE A METAL SPOON?
Metal can often contain aluminium that can interact with the lactic acid in fermented foods and potentially create toxins. Only if you are sure that the spoon is stainless steel can metal be used.
